About:
With Radwatch, Mark was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Applied Nuclear Physics Group of the Nuclear Science Division of LBNL. He received his bachelor’s degree in Physics at Harvard College and his Ph.D. in Physics at the University of California Berkeley, where his dissertation was on the first successful use of a compact Compton telescope to image an astrophysical gamma-ray source.

Research Focus:
Mark worked on the development of aerial- and ground-based multisensor detector systems for standoff nuclear detection and background characterization, as well as the monitoring of environmental background radiation. Additionally he has made contributions in the area of scientific data curation systems for collaboration on the large datasets.
