Kat Leong
Undergraduate Researcher, Project Manager
Kat is a UC Berkeley junior majoring in Nuclear Engineering (CO'28), with a minor in Materials Science & Engineering. They are currently working on the development of new DoseNet devices, optimizing hardware calibration and maintenance, and conducting outreach events for the group.
They are mainly interested in the development and study of materials useful in radiological contaminant detection and fusion technology. Outside of RadWatch, Kat DJs for the university’s freeform radio KALX 90.7 under the moniker ‘Gamma Knife’. Kat also enjoys building Gunpla, watching F1, and collecting rare records.
