About:

Dani Solakian is an Undergrad Student Researcher working with the Dosenet/Radwatch team to educate, empower, and provide tools for the public to understand radiation and the environment surrounding them. Dani is involved in community organizing to reach radiation impacted communities and share the knowledge and resources from her education with a concerned public. Her current work involves finalizing an analysis of fish data taken to understand the possible impact of radioisotopes from Fukushima’s meltdown in California’s food. The tools developed to engage in this analysis are being geared for public access, so that anyone could request our measurement devices and analysis code to see and understand the radioactive world around them.
