About:

Daniel Solakian is an Undergrad Student Researcher working with the Dosenet/Radwatch team to educate, empower, and provide tools for the public to understand radiation and the environment surrounding them. His work has included creating custom 3D printed cases for educating students at UC Berkeley and collaborating local high schools with hands-on environmental-measuring devices, outreach work with live demonstrations and facilitation of questions, and providing a platform for discussion to promote public understanding about society’s complex relationship with the radioactive world it’s built on top of. Combined with his passion for writing, publicly available articles about radiation’s interrelationship with people aim to empower communities with information about the lands they live on, its natural make up, and the societal impacts on the Earth and its inhabitants.
