Samuel McClanahan
Samuel is an upcoming sophmore at Lowell High School, and is looking into new designs for portable environmental sensor systems. He is interested in data analysis, computer-aided design, and research.
Aaron Ely
Aaron is a rising freshman at Basis Independent Fremont, he’s working on taking data and putting it on a map therefore allowing for portable Dosenet sensors to display accurate location data as well as sensor data. He’s looking for ways to apply some of his coding, math, and geography knowledge, and in his free time he enjoys swimming, reading, and learning new things.
Akhil Karthik
Akhil is a current freshman at UC Berkeley and is planning to major in physics. He is currently working on using deep learning/machine learning for isotope classification and is utilizing his skills in Keras and sklearn. His eventual goal is to be conducting research in high energy astrophysics/nuclear physics.
Justin Ely
Justin is a senior at Basis Independent Fremont interested in the fields of physics and engineering. At DoseNet, he currently works on spectral analysis, writing code to analyze data from radiation detectors.
Kanishk Krishna
Kanishk is a rising sophomore at Cal High School. He is currently working on connecting different types of sensors and interfacing them with an IoT platform. This summer he hopes to learn how to build applications that are complex in shape but smooth in flow, by using platforms and tools like Node-RED. In his free time, he likes to play basketball and soccer.
Ajith Araiza-Singh
Ajith is a rising junior at El Cerrito High School. He is working on software development for mobile DoseNet radiation and climate sensors. He has an interest in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, and works on projects in both of those fields. In his free time he enjoys pursuing photography.
Zak Fares
Zak is a 4th year student at UC Merced, studying Computer Science & Engineering. He is interested in the databases and algorithms behind managing nuclear power and systems. This summer he hopes to learn practical skills and better understand what he might want to do after graduation when entering the work force.
Ed Bogoslovskiy
Ed is a high school junior at Davidson Academy. At DoseNet, he is testing the effect of nuclear power plants on background ionizing radiation. In his free time, he likes to fix bicycles and play basketball.
Isaac Schultz
Isaac is a fourth year student at UC Berkeley studying Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Aerospace Engineering. He currently works with DoseNet/Radwatch specifically in iterative design of the DoseNet system case array.
