Samuel McClanahan

Samuel McClanahan

Samuel is an upcoming sophmore at Lowell High School, and is looking into new designs for portable environmental sensor systems. He is interested in data analysis, computer-aided design, and research.

Akhil Karthik

Akhil Karthik

Akhil is a current freshman at UC Berkeley and is planning to major in physics. He is currently working on using deep learning/machine learning for isotope classification and is utilizing his skills in Keras and sklearn. His eventual goal is to be conducting research in high energy astrophysics/nuclear physics.

Justin Ely

Justin Ely

Justin is a senior at Basis Independent Fremont interested in the fields of physics and engineering. At DoseNet, he currently works on spectral analysis, writing code to analyze data from radiation detectors.

Aiden Wu

Aiden Wu

I am an 8th grader at KLS - Khan Lab School in Mountain View, California. My interests are coding, math, and science. In my free time, I enjoy playing Minecraft and hanging out with my friends. My favorite vacations involve skiing, surfing, and exploring. My involvement with the UCB Radwatch team has been a terrific experience!

Adam Hsuan

Adam Hsuan

Adam is a senior at California High School, analyzing soil samples to determine the presence and relative proportions of specific isotopes. He’s also investigating models for predicting background radiation levels, to be used to identify abnormal shifts in radiation trends.

Jocelyn Jimenez

Jocelyn Jimenez

Jocelyn is an undergraduate senior at UC Berkeley majoring in Astrophysics with a minor in Nuclear Engineering. She currently works on hardware calibration and maintenance for DoseNet devices and serves as a mentor for RadWatch. Her academic focus lies in high-energy astrophysics, particularly neutrino and gamma-ray astronomy.

Shreyan Mitra

Shreyan Mitra

My name is Shreyan Mitra and I’m a rising junior at California High School. This summer, at RadWatch, I’m working on building a drone-based system to map radiation. In general, I enjoy building things that combine hardware and code to build real, functional systems. Outside of that, I play guitar and love playing basketball with friends.

Bruhatt Rao

Bruhatt Rao

Bruhatt is a rising high school junior at California High School, working on sound dampening for the roof centrifuge system. He's passionate about computer science, audio engineering, and AI/ML. Outside of school, he builds tech projects, competes in hackathons, runs a startup called Covo Labs, and plays bass guitar.

Jordan Tran

Jordan Tran

Jordan is a rising senior currently attending Castro Valley High School. He is interested in majoring in Computer Engineering, and also interested in exploring the field of nuclear science through RadWatch. This summer, he got the opportunity to work on a Data Science project with NASA, and spends his free time watching basketball and doing photography.
